Flew China eastern from T.O to SGN.

Give random seat and no meal selection provided. Rice and meat...

Flew them from Van to Bangkok with a layover in China.

Little to no leg room, super squished in with 3-4 person seating. I do recall that they did indeed serve food - however it was pretty bad.

I flew YVR to HKG and got free boozes in Air Canada. Food was very edible. Air Canada steward/stewardess were very professional. I had flew Cathay, and found they are as good or better. I had also flew China Eastern from HKG to Shanghai, short trips and found the seats very tolerable.

Honestly I use them to fly to Manila and I don't really have any complaints, it is decent especially for the low price. Who cares about those hours when it's less than half of other competitors?
Time is money... i for one don't want to spend an overnight layover to get to my destination.

Flew with China eastern many times from Toronto to Asia. You get what you pay for. Some planes have entertainment systems, some don't. The food is decent for airplane food. There is less sitting room compared to air canada but its not by much. Maybe an inch. For the price I would def fly with them. You are saving 350 per person (next cheapest flight is 1000+).

Booked and thanks!

I've had similar experiences with China Eastern in the past. Rough, but affordable .
