Choice between 2 tire types advice

Hi all,
Not really knowledgeable on tires but did my best to research, and would appreciate some advice from the two options I narrowed down to replace 4 tires for my 2015 subaru forester as to which would be the better choice. There are bridgestone tires from costco that also provide a $70 cash card and $15 installation for each tire, and also Pirelli tires from canadian tire, which I am not sure how much they would charge for tire installations. Please share your thoughts, to help me narrow down between the two. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

In case there are any issues loading the links, I took screenshots for comparison.

Have you been on TireRack.com for your research? It's an excellent resource: tire comparisons from their experts, and customer reviews for each model of tire.

I bought a set Pirelli P7's for my car last year. I decided on them after much research because they are one of the most soft and quiet riding tires in their category. They have good dry performance and acceptable wet performance. I would definitely recommend them. Using Tirerack's selector tool, I see that they are suitable for your Forester.

As are the Ecopia H/L 422 Plus. It comes as news to me they they fall under the "Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season" category. I didn't know such a thing existed. The P7's are considered "Grand Touring All-Season Tires" these are intended for more traditional sedans and coupes.

So the first thing that strikes me is that you're coming tires from different categories. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

I think you should first decide which category of tire is most appropriate for your vehicle and preferences as a driver. Then you can further narrow down your options within a category based on your expectations of a tire: wet and dry cornering and braking, noise, comfort, treadlife etc.

The Forester is rather large and tall, and is more of an SUV or Crossover, than it is a wagon or hatchback. So perhaps Crossover/SUV All-Season is the more appropriate tire category for it.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. Ended up checking out the site, and read up on more reviews. Think I will be leaning towards the tires that are more aimed towards the SUV.

Go to iPower at Major Mackenzie and Bayview. Ask for Ricardo or Elsa and they can get you a better deal on tires.
