This is dumb. Let's just get the 1000 documents required for a mortgage application together in one day, shall we?

It takes like two weeks for me to get a letter of employment.

This usually means the bank(s) expect rates from BoC to drop even further.

Pretty sure the offer will stick as long as you talk about it today.

JESUS EFFFF! I just renewed yesterday with CIBC at 1.79% (5 year fix). I even paid a penalty to end my previous contract of 2.99% on a 5 year fix.
I understand this is 4 year term, but 1.49%. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

It’s for new mortgage only not renewal so you would not be qualified anyway.

Yip 1.79% is a branch level promo, likely to match HSBC.
