This company is offering 1Gb download / 100Mb upload with unlimited usage.

Received this flyer in my building (Sheppard & Yonge)

Should be a local provider but the price is very attractive. Include first month free. No rental. No contract. No installation cost.

Never heard about this company before, but I will give a try.

I have mentioned in another CIK thread to stay away from these guys. The 5 months I was with them was the worst internet experience for me. Got their DSL with a very attractive pricing for the parents and it was a nightmare, signed up for 50 or 100mbps and got less than 1 mb speed 90% of the time, add on to that 1.5hrs if tech support wait only for every guy to try and fix the problem, make a lie up and transfer me to their manager which would add another 20 mins of wait and further frustration

Hated the experience

I sure there might be some happy customers but for me personally it was the worst product/cs experience ever for anything I have ever purchased

Beware of this if you are power user

---

Does CIK slow down my speed in peak hour?

Generally internet speed is slower than usual in peak hour (6:00pm to 00:00am). As we are renting last mile from local Cableco and Telco and sharing that portion of network, so if the cableco or Telco deploys some kind of internet traffic management technology, our customers in that area will be affected the same as the Cableco and Telco end users.

Stay away with CIK Telecom / Cannet if you value your hard earned money.

They're the worst ISP reseller.

You've been warned.

I had Cannet since the 300/20 promo they ran in the fall. Awful ISP. Dumped them last week and so relieved to be free of them. They couldn't even get the service cancellation right and jerked me around over the whole thing. Morons. You've been warned.

Agree with all of the above posters

Just cancelled them last month

Very slow speeds 90% of the time

And for a company whose name is CIK (Customer Is King), they have the worst service around

The wait times are horrendous and when you finally do get someone the audio is so bad, you can barely hear anything

I avoid 1000% avoid

You get what you pay for - in this case, very little. Avoid.

CIK should be called CIP

Company
Is
Pathetic

How pathetic?
Average speed of 15 Mb/s, for a service that is supposed to be 150 Mb/s.
It's that bad.

There is throttle on big websites during peak time. Their customer rep swears they DON't throttle. The Youtube video quality report says otherwise....
