[Cineplex] R2-D2 Popcorn Bucket (incl. daily refills until Jan 31st) - $49.99

Well Star Wars : Rise of Skywalker is out this Thursday and as part of Cineplex's promo is a R2-D2 popcorn bucket which can hold a regular sized popcorn AND the top head hold a regular sized drink. The cost of this is $49.99 and then tax on top. What makes this deal a bargain is the R2-D2 is absolutely AWSOME...so much attention to details...color is SPOT on...well over a foot tall...looks so cool with the straw sticking out of the top sipp'in on your choice of beverage while muching on tasty popcorn during the RoS...a BARGAIN! and oh yeah and you get free daily refills until January 31st.

BTW, remember to get a $50 Cineplex GC first before getting the promo so you get the Holiday Bundle coupon to use next year...the free admission complements the free popcorn and drinks for the month of January....a fine paring indeed.

Im thinking you might have to actually see a movie every day to qualify for the refill?

Nope. you can go into a Cineplex and just buy food. So you can get a free refill every day on popcorn and drink until January 31st, 2020. If you consider a similar combo is well over $10 I think this is a pretty hot deal, no?

I suppose if you live right by a Cineplex, you will get you money's worth, however i'd rather just have the R2D2 for $20 itself....!

Honestly, this is a hot deal to the right audience... guess I'm going to a bunch of movies in January

(and sneaking healthy popcorn and pop into my refillable containers)

Mate how much do you think popcorn costs? Even if you’re right beside Cineplex, it would still be a lot cheaper (and less hassle) to pop your own at home. Popcorn every single day would probably be $10 or so.

This is why Cineworld is buying Cineplex

There are a lot more Starbucks around. Sure you can get a daily refill (is it popcorn and/or a drink?) but you'd have to go to a theatre.

Oh good, you just made me feel better! I was wondering if it was ok to want something that was not a good deal. lol

I was even trying to calculate how often I would have to get refills to make it ok to overspend on a popcorn bucket. Would I be able to make 10+ trips? =)

I guess there are more daily Starbucks drinkers than popcorn+pop people but this still isn't a bad deal, especially if you see a lot of movies.

Same thing could be said about coffee, and people purchasing at a store instead of brewing it in house

Could be good. I live a few minutes away from the theater. Unused popcorn becomes bird food as there isn't much food for my winged friends in the winter. I'll have to look into it...
