Clearing a container without broker or freight forwarder
Looking for help from someone that knows how things are done in sea freight industry. If I have a container with a personal vehicle shipped(Canadian registration, coming back to Canada) to Halifax, do I need to hire a freight forwarder or a broker to clear the container or is self-clearing a container a same process as self-clearing UPS package? One of the concerns Is that I don't fully understand the clearance order of procedures and timelines(soil examination etc). I live in Toronto but the car will be delivered to Halifax.
