Signed up, I can login and see the dashboard. Is the "membership number" the account number? I'm trying to link an external account

Can someone assist me with setting the preauthorized payments? I have added two payees but it doesn't ask me the amounts that need to be paid nor the scheduled dates.

How are you guys doing it? I haven't e-transferred any money to the account yet. Could that be why?

You need to setup pre-authorized debit from the Coast account, not bill payment. You have to initiate the PAD from the bill provider (Hydro, phone bill, credit card, etc.), and ask them to pay your bill automatically, using your Coast account details.

I can switch my payroll deposit wherever I want, so it sounds like that alone would be sufficient to qualify. A single payroll deposit within 90 days, and I get paid the bonus 30 days after that. I don't see any requirement to keep the account open for a minimum period of time, and in any case there are no fees. I'm sure I know someone in the family who has an account and could refer me.

Am I missing any catch? Seems like an easier deal than other banks than include credit card applications, although I realize there may be a hard hit at Equifax if that matters to some people.

There are a few steps that you need to take and it's super easy.

Can I do that with other major banks too?
How can they report interest payments to the CRA without your SIN? I think it's required.
