Code on custom clearance - Canada

Hello Guys

I am a permanent resident of Canada and I kinda travel alot for work , every time I arrive i get a code " X20" printed on my custom's clearance sheet then I go to secondary hall but they never check my baggage !
They just ask questions about where I have been ! And how long i stayed in Canada!
Any clue what does X20 means and why I have been questioned?

Thanks
Cheers

A Permanent Resident is not the same as being a Citizen of Canada
You still remain a Citizen of another Country
As such, you are being sent into Secondary in that capacity
For further investigation in establishing your status

X20 refers to a section within the Immigration Act

To maintain your Permanent Resident Status some conditions must be met
Including how much time you spend IN COUNTRY vs how much time you spend OUT OF CANADA

If you travel a lot, then you need to be particularly aware of these conditions of your maintaining Canadian Permanent Resident Status
You let your numbers slip... and you could potentially lose your Status

As you say you are travelling outside of Canada for work, it might be a good idea to maintain a Travel Journal as suggested in the above linked document
