Ultra fiber 1G internet - $150 credit $64 monthly current customers YMMV

Retailer:
Cogeco
Here is my contribution to these great forums, you would need to be a current cogeco customer for atleast 3 months i believe.
Speak to the cancelation/loyalty department telling them Bell offered you $70 for 1.5gb and 150$ giftcard which the agent end up giving me a better deal and gave me 2 Pods 50% off and a $150 credit on my account.
He also locked in the discount until 2035!

Summary 1gb plan with 2 pods for $64 plus tax at Cogeco!

Are you locked into a contract for 180 months?
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

That's good. I'm paying almost as much for my 40/10mbps in cogecoland on another provider.

Their salesperson knocked on my door (Oakville) about a week ago, selling this ultrafiber super duper thing. I don't remember the details, other than no activation fee, 2-yr contract, monthly price was I think around $85. He said he could only do it that on day (yeah right, never heard this one before lol), kept asking who I was with (I hope he meant which provider), what speed. Being slow and senile, I did not know how to respond. Such a nice gentleman, said he did not even need my payment info, just all personal information to book the deal. Did not sign up, got his card but I think I misplaced it already.

Should've asked him for ID and take a photo of him. It's illegal for non-charities to go door to door in Ontario.

I spoke to cogeco and the best they would do is $90/mo for new customer.

No it is not illegal for telecommunication companies to go door to door in Ontario.

FYI here's more info about it: https://news.ontario.ca/en/release/4830 ... -march-1st

As for this deal, I would jump on it at least short term, but not available (cogeco) in my area. It is way better than anything that's offered here.

Discount is decent but they can increase the base price by a few bucks every now and then. That's how cogeco pricing works.

Ah, that's a shame it's not a flat out ban on all door to door.
