Companies that actually honour warranty? T-Fal has been disappointing

Have you guys ever had to use a manufacturer warranty and found they were actually helpful? My t fal cooker stopped working after maybe 2 months I contacted them and they said I had to mail it in for repair, they took 3 months mailed it right back to me and said
It’s working doesn’t even look like they
Opened the box. The lights for the unit actually turn on but the unit itself doesn’t work. They are such a waste of time not going to purchase anything from their brand anymore.

Hate terrible customer service

I had a Hamilton Beach coffee maker stop working after two and half years. There's a five year warranty. I had to upload the receipt for proof of purchase and to verify it was less than 5 years old. After it was approved I had to send a photo of coffee maker clearly showing that the cord was cut. Within two weeks I had a replacement.

Edit: Forgot to mention there was a shipping charge.

Dyson customer service was first class. I reported the unit wouldnt turn on and stated 2nd light was blinking.
No further questions asked.. a new (not a refurb) unit was shipped out the following morning.

I dont think it was even a 5 minute phone call

I have the same experience as yours but I was asked to sent them $7 for the shipping/handling cost for the replacement.

I haven't warrantied anything Logitech in a while, but I did a few years ago and it was "cut the cord and we'll ship you a new one" with very few questions asked outside of model/serial/etc.

I think it was Seagate that had cross ship RMA too at one point but they seem to have killed it.

Nope. That's why I'm on the internet arguing with strangers. If I had anything better to do I'd probably be doing it.

they made u pay the shipping for the replacement. most other companies cover that and only issue is if they ask u the send them the item back witch most companies are starting to get rid of that with raising cost of shipping its starting to get the point were its easier to toss it then to ship something back if that's there only option.

logitech only makes u send in items over like 100 so if u get one of there very high end mice or keyboard or there top of the line speaker sets they will ask it be sent in but even then they provide u a free label.

I had a great experience with Lutron. I gave my parents some Caseta switches for Christmas and installed them on Boxing Day. I got a bunch of them from Amazon Warehouse Deals, and one was a dud. I could have returned it to Amazon but then I would have to buy a new one at full price - instead, I called Lutron at about 7pm on Boxing Day (a Saturday). I told them it was purchased open-box and they had no issue with that. They said a replacement would take a couple of weeks to get to Canada so I was shocked when FedEx dropped it off Tuesday or Wednesday that week in the midst of the holidays.

Apple is always A+

Once for the battery thing, another one for my Beats earphones. Both went smoothly.

ScanPan. Expensive, but the US distributor replaced my pan, after it lost its coating. Didn't want the old pan back either. They offer a 10 Yr warranty

I'm fairly certain I had to RMA one of their high end speakers once and it was also cut the cord.
Granted... this was like YEARS ago (maybe a decade) so things may have changed.

With everything being wireless nowadays I wonder how that works.
Can't cut the cord on a wireless mouse.... Return shipping wouldn't be worth it for them either.

it was mostly the z5500 or now z906 they required a return on as those sell for 300-500 i guess depending were u look they use to just ask for the control pod but then started wanting the whole set back.

now i a days i guess they have gotten more picky they want all kinds of pictures of the product and s/n and stuff the invoice even though they can look up when the product was made via the PID number.

I couldn't remember a model number until you mentioned z5500 and that was it.
I hacked the control pod cable off and that was that. But again this was like over a decade ago.

Probably because of warranty claims lol. There's always one guy that wrecks it for the rest of us.

Installed a fluidmaster toilet bowl flapper. It came with a 5yr warranty. 1.5 years later it was leaking so I called the them for a replacement. Fluidmaster sent me a new flapper which arrived 1 week later via free shipping.

Don't know why you're dealing with the US distributor as there's a Canadian one. I've dealt with the Canadian one 3 times now. They want to inspect
the pan so you need to drop off or ship to them but no receipt required. They replace with brand new stock. Used to be lifetime warranty.

Uh, that's who I dealt with. I didn't buy from Swiss Mar but they're now the official Canadian distributor. It's changed hands a couple times in the past decade.
Swiss Mar has a office in Vaughn.

sounds like dealing with the us one is better if they don't make u waste money shipping the old one in and the canadian ones does why would u want to waste money on shipping.

dollarsign wrote: Just got my 4th warranty replacement on a K800 keyboard from Logitech (2nd keyboard replaced for this warranty period). Their customer service is still outstanding. I didn't have to send in anything, as it was all done through email. I only wish their products hadn't declined in quality so much over the years.

Still one of my favourite companies though. The latest replacement is labelled "Logitech". Apparently, they might have abandoned that silly "Logi" rebranding.
logitech stuff in terms of keyboards and mice have alway just been from ok to good. the only keyboards that are real tanks and can take whatever u got to though at them are the good old ibm model m witch are still being made in the usa by unicomp the newer ones aren't quite as good at the 80/90s ones but still better then most other china trash companies make. logitech is a bit better on mice if u go on the high end but even those have issues with failing switches mainly the left click and those cheap feet the use on the bottom the glue on them fail after a year or so of heavy use logitech will send replacements although its less hassle just to order a few packs off ebay from china and have them on hand.
