Connecting computer speakers to tv

Hello all,

I have the klipsch promedia 2.1 computer speakers. It connects via a 3.5mm jack to computers.

However, I am looking to connect to a tv (Samsung mk6290) that only has a toslink/digital audio cable. It doesn't have RCA left/right cable.

My research leads me to believe that I need a digital to analog converter to make it work (toslink to converter to 3.5mm audio jack). Something like this:

Would this work?

This one has better reviews and im pretty sure it's what I used before: https://www.amazon.ca/LiNKFOR-Digital-C ... 7FX5&psc=1
Thanks for the quick reply! I don't know if the one linked will work for me since it seems to output via coaxial. Unfortunately, my speakers only connect via a 3.5mm jack. Good to hear though that this seems the way to go

Nice, but that's digital to digital (TOSLINK - coaxial). OP needs digital to analog.

Sure, this should do the job. Can also find cheaper options, this one seems okay, for 11$.

I guess I'm weird for having a ton of random audio/coax adapter cables lying around to make that work lol but you're right.
