Nah. That would be amazing if they did, but they don't make anything that transparent. I can DM, like, etc, I simply cannot comment on posts. The reasons IG give for users being blocked are not any transgressions which I have been involved in. To top it off, they do not even have any support feature to obtain assistance. I am now on day 4. Sigh.

They will probably unblock my account the day after all the giveaways end. Of course, I am probably screwing up my blocked time allotment by logging in to see if I have been unblocked three times a day.
Instagram is working on anti-bullying. Whenever they roll out something new it never works quite right at first.

I didn't bother with social media this year. To think any previous year, when I really wanted to win and have something to put under the tree, this time of year always did that in one way or another. I'm not frustrated, I've already made my peace with it. There are more important things than winning a contest, but you gotta have some fun, so that's always a nice surprise. You would think that if you play and win smaller prizes a big one is due, but there is always more contest sites with those contests, and contestants trying to win and they too, put more time into it. I never figured out why you just can't win some. I hope most of you kept up your efforts or amped up for the holiday season, I let it slide and to be honest, prob feel better for the time and effort it took to bring together a couple of days. Gonna prob try to keep up with holidays, every single one even maybe, and go back to trying to win at the one time contests. It could also be hit or miss, but I like that you have no idea how or why the arrow will stop somewhere. Maybe some hosts or places have deduced that they are smarter than the arrow. Prob happens less often or not, but it's not like we know what happens behind the scenes. Will they actually draw at the time they say they will, or is that ballpark. If it takes longer to get to, or not. Some prizes have even been forfeit by the sponsor not coming through or the mail having something to do with it. It's all a part of a game, I guess. The more life you want, you realize it's just a never ending spindle where your efforts either pay off or not. It seems like if you are to win something, is there a contest guru or god that will have you claim out at a lower prize than the deal or no deal is potentially worth lol. Prob not, now I'm kinda losing my mind to this. But anyways, one thing is for sure, luck always has a way of rolling around. I'm not celebrating the holidays and I didn't win anything. Hopefully New Year's is better lol. I guess we're not robots to dissect this thing and so we just deal with it as luck. Probably!

Said hosts, but meant hosts of contests. I'm sure there are a couple which don't pick unless they are customers or check social media as back up, to me, that's like picking yourself. It's a random draw, and no one ever checks to see who won the contest unless they're prob a contester. Seems to me if it is happening, it's a silly gimmick to try and save face of a falling or failing business. If they have some inconsistency with contesters who enter contests and enter them all, and are double checking customer lists or trying to show a certain kind of group of people winning their contests, I think they've got contests all wrong. It prob doesn't happen very often, but there are some contests that as an example say all of Ontario, but are district oriented and I've never won. Seems there are some unforeseen criteria to pick local. Grow and build local, even that merry Vancouver contest had a phone number and I'm unsure if they picked winners with different area codes. Sometimes it's best just not to concern yourself with these strange tactics that shouldn't exist, but there are probably a couple of sponsors who don't want contesters from forums or other sites entering their business expanding contests and prob even search out forums when the contest was posted and disregard post and pick from early lot or later, if they even want to risk that. Can't do anything about it, just makes you think that sometimes, even if your ballot is in there, you might not have a chance. I even noticed some links from rfd contests having a different hyperlink at the end as if the sponsor wants to know that they're coming from this site. This site doesn't really have a different url to send to, but they could be scanning how you find the page. That's why for dailies, it was always best to store them in favourites. However, on a side note, I think most Christmas contests have been around for a while and lots of them don't have any scanning based on sponsors. That leads me to believe it's a free for all on most. That being said, I didn't win, because I didn't put the right amount of work into it. Sorry for this writing, I guess it is probably the equilibrium of sponsors to not want to double down on those that treat contests as fun, rather play only because they saw it in shop or heard it somewhere through the airwaves. I bet playing every year and being an entrant for years doesn't equal tried and tested loyalist of our site, rather, this is a contester lol. I doubt anyone goes through all that work, but the programming is there. If a programmer was cheating which I'm sure someone tried a couple of things, that just sucks lol. If you entered those contests all day, a couple of times to balance out your chances, you worked too hard for Christmas but good for you lol. I just like being a part of things that are fair and not eyeing contesters as the enemy rather a source of multiplying your game of chance and is a potential if not already a customer. See some sites asking if you tried product too for said contest. Unsure how it all plays out. Whatever!! lol

If you signed up for Vileda e-mails, the most recent one has a quick survey about how often you replace your Vileda Scrunge. If you answer this weekend, the company will pick a winner on Dec. 23 for a 16pk of Vileda Scrunge sponges. Just entered!

Sometimes I wonder if companies who post “the winners are x, y, z, please contact us for your prize!” are just trying to get out of awarding prizes. There is no reason at all they can’t DM winners

Agreed. Like picking the most generic names with an initial at the end. I swear some companies are scammers. That pizza contest with Oggi foods... they extended the contest because there were very few entries. And now its been a month and they haven't posted a winner or responded to any messages. Don't run a contest asking for people to buy your products and post pictures and then back out of your promises

Contests are a form of publicity, and you can't really police who enters them. You can try to be fair and program it out to what you believe is the way a contest should be run, but you can't demand the same from every single contestant. Contests are not a form of holding you under the thumb, but are engineered to give people from all walks, talks and socks try to win something they think will be fun. I guess we all lose sight something entering blankly, saying we'll only enter what we want, and try to support the campaign in that way, but when you don't win, than you enter more, and win, it seems that at least it's working. I don't think I'm a prick doing so, I don't win as often as I'd like, and usually have to wait a while before winning a big contest. The least you can do is hope the campaign sees it your way, but if they extended it and didn't post in rules or on a main post, you can't just leave it floating when people are putting their time into it. Care for your potential and already customers with these contests, and you'll be fine. Some people are just bossy and think they can do what they want, and that's when some contests irritate some people and prevent them from having a positive image. Contests should be a positive experience, even though sometimes it's just like detention work, filling out forms and leaving comments lol.

I also like to think I'm lucky and that I can use luck to improve my circumstance, no matter where I am. Good luck!

I hope the contests you play are enjoyable and a good way to spend some of your spare time. I hope 2020 finds you even better and marks a truly awesome time, reminiscing on all the things this life leads to, and it's never over. The life is long and a joyous ride, sometimes taking you on the vortex out of your control. It seems there are always more things to do, but I hope for 2020 contests are not time consuming, a loathing or even an unenjoyable task. Seems with the dailies, I got a little carried away with the amount of typing. I doubt I'll enter or make a small list, but to each their own. Hope you win something to conclude the holidays and begin new year's on, and I hope it brings joy to those around you sometimes winning those prizes. It never hurts to try and I'm sure 2020 will be enjoyable in its own right with the wins you may yet win with contests that have yet to be posted.

Good luck all and Happy 2020!

No wins reported here since Dec. 23rd. Eek! No one pulling off Christmas wins anymore? True, some aren't drawn until January but a lot of 12 days of and other dailies have been drawn already. My win total for the year was dismal, well under $500 and most of that from GCs for outfits that do not exist in my area, meaning I had to give the cards away. And no win over $500 on a single item in 2 years. But hoping the New Year with new prizes like the new Xbox and Playstation consoles will mean lots of winners reported here. Still a couple days left to the year but I'm not expecting anything. Take care all...

In the same boat, Christmas couldn't be helped by me this year. Someone else made it, and I'm thankful, and I gave up playing until New Year's. Just going to relax, and if I get anything, since probably not lots of contest sponsors will go in and do the draw in the 1 day before New Year's. So we'll all more than likely have to wait until after January, maybe even past the 3rd which is a Friday. I enjoy quick draws rather than leaving it otherwise. This Christmas I didn't really feel like myself, but I'm sure come New Year's I'll be back at something I'm comfortable with and hope to share and win. Getting a job and hopefully some weed grow that I'm encompassing to keep me motivated and busy in life. Hard to find extra cash to do anything or trade some things you win for something you really want happening same time. Hopefully we'll all pick something that we want and end up winning it, can't always happen but sometimes the motivation is there so you don't end up slowing your pace down because of resources. Life is a journey, and I'm sure all of life deserves some real fun without the hassle of not being able to start up their fun machine. You can have fun in a variety of ways, don't need to be a showman lol. Life is good when you do what you want and good things still come from it. Hopefully you'll continue at something and hopefully in time, this life can make sense to all of us...absolute sense and we treat it as a ride that's treating us. Hate to feel like I have to hustle sometimes to make ends meet, but might've been my fault with the eggs I put in the basket. Hopefully this year I can treat myself and others on holidays and try to make a better resolution come the countdown. Happy 2020 DougO and all.

I have not won a christmas related contest in the past... I don't know how many years now. Kind of a shame considering how hectic it gets contest-wise during December.
I know it's technically not over yet and I could still win something, but doesn't look promising.

Ah well, maybe 2020 will be luckier for us.

Preach! Me either. I need a good win, the winter is so depressing
