Contractual implications

I have signed the sales agreement where I put $500 deposit on a new vehicle.
6 weeks later, the sales person called me and said the configuration is not available, and I need to go with the higher trim level (+10K). Do I have any rights to request that higher trim level to be offered with the signed contract price? Thank you.

No you don't. You can have your deposit back though.

Can I insist on the original agreement to be upheld? He said that trim is only for "fleet" customers. But agreement was signed by both parties

Sure, become a fleet buyer and you then meet the requirements. How many vehicles are you planning on buying?

Just a suggestion but considering most manufacturers are starting to place orders for 2023 vehicles between now and July why not just wait until then and re-submit the order leaving the deposit in place?

What make, model, and trim did you sign up for? It is quite possible that it is indeed a fleet only trim and they made a mistake offering it to you, or, it may be a tactic to upsell you.
