Cool job search website: ELUTA.ca

For anyone looking for a job, please check out www.eluta.ca , a great job site that uses Google-like method to help you search for jobs.

I first visited it about 6 years ago when I was searching for a job and was brought to my attention again this week as I was browsing the Globe and Mail website (I believe they own Eluta.ca now)

Good luck

Thanks for sharing, that looks like a very cool job site too! I think I had seen it but thought it was only for the US so never tried a Canadian version.

I was introduced to eluta a few years ago. I read somewhere (internet forum perhaps) that the majority of jobs at the time were always out-dated or six months behind. Probably something to do with how their engine scoured the net for job postings. Has it tremendously improved since?

I also landed a job found using this site.

I do remember sometimes seeing jobs that were outdated, but only a small number in comparison to some really good finds.

I landed multiple interviews and finally got hired. I was using BZCareer Search engine which is fairly new and I noticed they have more jobs then any other site. I guess its similar to google except it is more frequently updated and specializes in job search. I guess the company updates frequently because I visit the site multiple times a day and I keep seeing new jobs. Anyway here is the link if anyone is interested in using this site.

That site is terrible for me for my test search. It popped up 4 results while indeed.com (my favourite) came up with 688. You can't tell me that only 4 companies in all of Toronto is hiring controllers since I know for sure there is more than that.

My favourite is indeed.com and then eluta.ca. I find eluta just "ok" with their ability to show me a lot of results and updates. I like how indeed even have an app that you can use.

Is this a spam/advertising post? You bumped a two year old thread that's not even related to the content of your message.

I like Indeed & Eluta as well.

The best thing about Eluta, imho, is that they have lists of the "Top employers in ____ location". So if I was searching for jobs based in Alberta, for example, I can just go to
http://www.eluta.ca/search-alberta-top-employers

and they will link you to the employer's profile page on Eluta as well as show all the job postings they have.

I primary used indeed. Weirdly though, my current job I found is through Linkedin...well more like it found me LOL, it came up as a suggested job in the field I studied for

I always questioned the value of LinkedIn and was a late adopter, but I am now finding the opportunities it emails me about to be very relevant and interesting. So even if you are not actively looking, LinkedIn is making the old "being in the right place at the right time" a different game.

Indeed is my fav. Tested again and again, always better than any other spider job search engines.
