Yes, there is fine print on JH; the site indicating JH's data is comprised not only of JH but multiple sources. That suggests to me JH's data maybe comprised of averages across the sources.

It's a decent site but it's not up to date if you are looking about local / national stats. Generally the data flow goes from: Local health authorities --> Provincial health authorities--> Federal health authorities --> Media.
For example I'm in Hamilton ON, so my most up to date sources ranked are:

City of Hamilton Public Health, updated daily at 12:00 --> https://www.hamilton.ca/coronavirus/status-cases
Ontario Ministry of Health updated daily at 10:30am and 5:30pm --> https://www.ontario.ca/page/2019-novel- ... #section-0
Government of Canada --> https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/ ... ilelink#a1
CTV News --> https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavir ... -1.4852102 *

*I used CTV as a national information example, as it seems to be the data source for "worldometers.info".

LOL, you do realize data is posted when reported right?? Countries all work on a different time frames and reports at various hours. The US reports the most often and most accurate. Keep refreshing the page, the numbers will skyrocket over the day. Some countries report once a day, some report by batches as they come in. I still find https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus. the most accurate. I saw the same 8 deaths in the morning. It's now showing 11. By 6 pm when Trump does the daily beer virus update the number will be in the hundreds.

It shows that Italy went from 100 cases to 10,000 cases in 16 days.
