Called Rogers, for corporate, if you want a new iPhone the guy seemed confused weather you need to switch to an infinite plan (only 10%) or stay on share everything (30% off).

Fingers crossed that the 30% off discount stays. I guess we will know tomorrow.

I would appreciate some input from those in the know.

I currently have two lines with Koodo:

$59 for 18 GB, unlimited everything pretty much.
$60 for 10 GB, same thing.

I owe a small amount still on both lines for the tabs. I have the older tab system since the recent changes.

I would like to upgrade my wife's line to a Galaxy S10 from S9. There was a recent sale that Koodo was offering a tab medium ($15 a month for 24 months) with $100 up front. I am concerned with Koodo's new tab system though.

The Telus EPP individual informed me that I could get plans from Telus for $67 for 10GB. It may not make sense for me to do that, however my wife's line with $60 for 10GB might make sense. He said to get an S10, it would be only $13 a month extra with no money up front. So, $67 plus $13 would be $80 a month.

I could also downgrade my plan to 10GB, get a phone for $13 a month on my line and sell the phone to offset the monthly price of the plan. I would keep my phone and just buy phones outright if I wanted to change. If I could get $800 for an S10 for example and it cost me $13 x 24 = $312, that might make sense.

My assumption is that having a line through Telus and Koodo are identical in terms of quality of service correct?

I really would appreciate some advice from the experts on this matter.

Thanks!

I think if you have both lines on a share plan you save $10 ($5 per line) when you have 2 lines...

I couldn’t quite figure out the effective difference between shared plan and peace of mind if usage is less than 10gb per person. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Really hoping the discount applies to peace of mind plans too when we go to add an additional line.

I think it does applied to both plans. The share plan will give 10g of data for each line so a total of 20g to share...

I confirmed with several email reps this is not possible.

My company is offering this. I am not sure if everyone else is able to try and get this matched but I managed to get the 50gbs through Tom Harris

That's the promo the rep informed me of. $13 a month for the S10 as well.

Thoughts on it?

Thanks

The new iPhones are on the the EPP site for preorder. I checked it out for the iPhone 11 Pro 256 gb and the hardware discount was a measly $100 off haha.

My TELUS EPP has $100 off the 11 Pro; $64 the Pro Max; and $113 off the 11.

So you know, some savings there I suppose. No sense paying that extra $100 for literally the same product right?

Yeah I will definitely be waiting until they have a discount like they do on the Note 10+. I haven't bought a phone on contract in over 10 years, however if I they take off 700 bucks off of it or so, I don't mind at all.

Yup, really your best bet but even then it won’t be good.

It won't be that much on the iphones until next summer. Black Friday you might seed them drop another $100 or so off, maybe more if they aren't selling well.
How can an ant carry twenty times its body weight, but root beer floats are still delicious?
