Oooh, 6GB is $70 with unlimited text, canada wide calling, caller ID and voicemail. Plus $99 for the PIxel 3 64gb. How is that?

200 in bill credits
80 bucks a month/10gb
obv not the best plan but at least i'm not paying for hardware on top of it.
at the end of the 2 years i can bring the phone back and not owe 380
but i'll most likely sell for at least 700 in 2 years so that's 320 bucks back to me :)

anyway i'd wait for a deal like that, maybe september/oct might even go down to 0 up front for iphone xs max since the 11 is launching. these 30% off deals are only good if you have BYOD, i could have brought my fully paid off X but i couldn't resist.
Yeah I'm currently using an outright purchased OnePlus 5 on 16 gigs of data with Koodo for $55 a month. I've never even exceeded 10gb. Wouldn't mind switching to iPhone for the network effect (others using it, imessage, etc.) but it's too expensive, so I'll sit and wait for black friday I guess lol.

Telus EPP 10GB BYOD for Ontario is currently $67.50 when I check ($75 less 10%).

I see what you mean in that a deal might not be accessible to everyone, but it is definitely more than one in a thousand (0.001).

That would mean only 3000 people in all of Toronto could get it. I am pretty sure that there are way more than 1 in a thousand that work for corporations, hospitals, government, schools, etc.

It is a hot deal, and EPP listed in a title is no different from YMMV, just less equal since there is no way to suddenly change your employer to get in on the deal.

Having said that, and I am not saying you should do it, but you can try to bluff your way in. Also, check friends and family members if they are eligible because my plan let me give relatives (who can simply be friends) lines.

Good luck.

They do for EPP plans that are billed to and employee liable

Be careful of the price of the devices. For some reason the prices have gone up, for example the IPhone XS Max went from being $690 upfront to $890 which is weird seeing the new IPhones are coming out in September. I know this is the case for most of the higher end IPhones.

These plans seem bad? Last time I checked Telus had a $43 3GB plan for AB.

Am I better off with a 20gb share or peace of mind plan, of I'm only going to have one line for now?

You can't that's what I'm saying. Looks like they changed the byod plans.

$43 3GB BYOD is a horrible deal, even for an in-market regular plan, let alone EPP

So RBC has that 30% off plan for the infinite plans?

You get 20% off any regular in-market TELUS Mobility Simple Share or Peace of Mind service rate plan only when they activate a new account.
Is there any way to get the 20% off if you’re already a TELUS customer? Can you create a new TELUS account as an existing customer?

Nothing strange about this. Hardware pricing is a yoyo, usually being lower towards the end of the month or quarter or during a holiday / promotional season.

Do you prefer having no overages, or do you prefer knowing you can share your data with another device? That is the decision you'll need to make.
