That's lame
For each line you get 10% to 30% off depending on which plan you pick (the higher the data plan, the higher the discount). There is no multi-line discount on top of that. Well at least for now there isn't.

Not sure if this has been discussed already, but the XR pricing is very good for the 256GB. If you don’t mind color, it’s the same price as the 64GB. $13 or so a month.

I have to wait till Monday to see if the order went through...they asked for work email which I don’t have so they asked another way of proof that I work for my company so I sent them a pic of my pay stub...

I got a question..

Can I pay off the "tab" (so to speak) for the device but still be locked into the commitment?

So for example, I choose the $67.50 10GB plan + $15.08/m for the XS Max. Can I pay the $361.92 for the device, bringing my monthly bill down to $67.50 as long as I stay with Telus for 2 years?

Reason I'd want to do this is because if I sell my current iPhone, it will cover the costs of the tab and I wanna make my bill as low as possible.

Why not just pay $361.92 to your bill for one time? You then wouldn't have to pay your bill for almost 5 months.

The answer to all your questions. Got my contract a few mins ago. @idontwantausername

iPhone XS Max On 50gb plan

(A) A Device Discount of $951.00 off the Full Retail
Price has been provided to you for signing a 24 month commitment. If this agreement is cancelled before the end of the commitment, you will be charged a fee equal to your remaining Device Discount Balance ($951.00 reduced by $39.62 for each month of service, $0.00 at the end of your 24 month commitment period.)

Interesting, thanks for this. I believe this is where Koodo is headed as well.
However, what happens in the case of early renewal? What if you sign a new 24 mo commitment in 12 month you upgrade. Do you still forfeit 50% of the device discount?

EPP plan is not eligible for family discount. I was hoping for this as well until I called in to ask.

Anyone know where the $300 hardware discount gets applied with Telus?

I asked on Live Chat and they said you'd have to pay the device credit (~$1250) minus the instalment payments for however long you kept the phone for. So if it's $1250, in a year you'd owe $625 to upgrade. The rep was kind of ..slow... so take that with a graIn of salt.

$39.62 x 12 = $475.44 put towards your device balance

$951 - $475.44 = $475.56 would need ot be paid in order to upgrade 12 months into your term.
