Just signed up with Telus EPP.

Got S10+ 128GB for $4.25/month with option to buyback phone for $210 after contract expires
20Gb for $76/month

Total of $80.25 + tax for 24 month. This is HOT
Are you in Ontario?

I see the S10+ for 7.25/month.

Maybe our EPPs are different?

Can't stress this enough. Telus for the win. I've been with Rogers since 2002 at least. Left when they offered $60/5gb and 5gb addon for 2yrs only.
What is your EPP plan with Telus? Can’t access the site as I am not a current Telus customer...thanks mate

I did some quick analysis for myself, and based on my analysis, for iPhone users, XR is the best option; and for Samsung folks, S10+ is the best option:
Hardware subsidy per phone (Subsidy / Cost) & bring price (bring back / cost)
1. S10+ - 80% & 13%
2. S10 - 78% & 14%
3. XR (256) - 76% & 19%
4. XS (64) - 57% & 21%
5. XS Max (64) - 52% & 24%

Of course, there are other factors in play but this is just based on numbers.

Previous posters quote of $4.25/month is with bring it back program which means they have to pay $210 at the end of 2 years if they decide to keep the phone. Yours isn't which makes it a better deal.

Ordered S10 plus with Telus. 20 gb data. 89 per month without bring it back. I am in Alberta.

I do not think there is any close to this in the market currently!

Need someone’s input!. With Rogers and can qualify for the EPP plan...ends up being $80+tax for 10GB on iPhone XS Max 64GB. Upfront fee is $430 less goodwill credits as I am a longtime Rogers customer so I would be paying $255 upfront. I will also get $65 towards accessories in store

Currently under no contract with Rogers paying $60/month for 10GB and if I purchased XS Max outright price is $1550+tax with no signs of a decent price drop anytime soon. Apple will take my 6s 64GB for $180

Typically, I wouldn’t mind going under contract but if I do I’ll lose the $60 10GB plan forever and the plan I take would be $80 10GB at the least. Has anyone been on an EPP for a while now? Are the monthly plan prices consistent? The one I would go under is currently $115/month 10GB less my EP discount (30%) which gets me the $80

Really good deal from Rogers or better off with current plan and dishing the $1550+tax upfront?? Thanks!!
i was in a similar boat as you, decided to pull the trigger and get the XS Max 64gb (needed a phone as my previous was broken). The way i see it, you pay 20$ difference for two years - 480$, + the 255$ upfront = 735$ total cost for the phone. that beats buying it outright. the only caveat is at the end of the two years, switching to a BYOD plan that is hopefully cheaper or doing this whole dance again.

for those saying switch to Telus, unless i'm mistaken, i believe the overall cost is the same if you're sticking with the XS-max, with the exception that telus 10gb plan is their unlimited version, where as Rogers is not (i was able to cite the telus plan and get a 3gb loyalty bonus for two years to counter telus).

interested in the swapping over to the peace of mind plan from Telus. Exactly how fast is 512kps, will it be fast enough to...
  1. watch videos (netflix)
  2. listen to spotify
  3. websurf?
edit - I guess it's somewhat discussed on reddit, I'll post the link in case anyone else is wondering.

Can anyone who took the Telus EPP confirm if they can use their version of roam like home for US roaming?

No. They may as well just shut you off at that point lol it's useless.

But...10 GB is plenty. The only time I ever was throttled on my old MB unlimited plan was watching movies on netflix lol

Not as far as I'm aware, the most you can pay outright is 680
