cost of nanny

trying to get an idea what's the standard cost of live out nany for a standard 9-5 type of thing mon-fri?

I haven't had a nanny for a few years (minimum wage was lower then) and I am not in the GTA, but at the time, the going rate for a live out nanny was usually between $15-20 per hour plus contributions for EI etc. We also gave paid vacation.

You have to pay at least minimum wage. A nanny in your home is an employee so you have to pay her according to the ESA. You have to make deductions like CPP, EI, Fed & Prov tax. You also have to make the employer contributions to CPP & EI. And give her paid vacation as laid out in the ESA.

Go thru nanny agency so you don't have to employ them yourself. About 5k a month.

I'm sure a nanny is not getting a minimum pay.

They are "skilled" worker. Anywhere about $3000-5000/m is about right, depends how experience she is.
