I love these AVERAGE COST Questions

It’s like asking what’s the average cost of a house or a car

It’s all gonna depend on WHAT you want to buy
Lada or Lamborghini

Why not do what everyone else does
Find what it is YOU WANT TO BUY in terms of type of carpet, grade, underlay, and get a price per square foot with installation

EDIT / ADD ... These guys are in Windsor, start with their website = https://www.canadiancarpetcentre.ca/flo ... t-flooring

Nothing wrong with asking an AVERAGE COST question...
The average cost of a new car is $20K - $40K. A lada/lamborghini are on the extreme end of the pricing.

For the OP question, a 10x10 room carpet should run you around $300 carpet, $60 underpad, and $450 labor.

I helped a relative price one out in GTA with Berber carpet and underpaid with removal

$2400 for 3 rooms that was over 400 sqft in total
1 day job

So $600 per 100ft but likely higher if it’s a small job like 1 room

Would have been around $1800-$2000 if they went with commercial or builders grade which is hard and not nice for bare foot.

Home Depot has free install if u buy carpet and underpad. About $500 for that room. I think it was a minimum $499 before you qualify for the free install

It was $2.78 sqft for beaulieu carpet and $1.50 sqft for underpad. This was about 2 months ago.

The challenge is getting someone for only 100 sq ft. I believe there are carpets that do not need stretching ( https://homeguides.sfgate.com/install-a ... 87267.html and https://www.bitterrootdiy.com/how-to-in ... -easy-way/ ) however I am not sure how durable those are. Perhaps in a bedroom which is a low traffic place (you have a lot of furniture covering the carpet).

That said, I would assume you can get it for $3-4 / sq ft for the one with attached pad if I recall (I saw it but wasn't interested).

You can easily get "ok" regular carpet for $2-3 / sq ft, install will be $0.7-0.9 / sq ft and underpad will be $0.6 - 0.9 / sq ft. That's all assuming you can get someone out to do it for such a small job. Kijiji might be a better idea for such a small job, as well as trying to find a remnant piece of carpet if you are not picky about colour.

Remember that it will come on a 12 foot roll. If you need 10 foot by 10 foot you will pay for 12 foot by 10 foot.
