[Costco] 1.58kg M&M Peanuts + Free Cineplex Movie Rental ($9.99)

I saw at the costco heartland location in Mississauga that they're selling the 1.58kg of M&M Peanuts for $9.99 which is $3.00 off in addition, it comes with a free movie rental from the cineplex online store. This seems to be a pretty good deal so I came to share it.

Rip 2x free movie passes deal. No longer a valid reason for buying these big bags of MMS anymore...

If they still have the movie coupons they may well be stale.

I found something funny in regards to this. When I went to Costco, I saw a lot of people buying this. Decided to get one too. Wanted a bag that was not first row in the box, worrying that they might have been previously dropped and the candy might have cracked. Then I noticed that the bags in the back simply had a blue ribbon design, but without the free movie offer. Only the first row of bags had them. So I think this is a pure marketing gimmick. The reason why I noticed these bags in the first place was because a lot of people were buying them. But a lot of people were buying the movie-less ones because they didn't know that the movies were included with some of the bags only. Feels a bit like a scam to me...

No scam. The bags in the front with the movie coupons are simply the last of their old stock.

And did you check when the promotion expires? Could it have passed already?

I think it may have needed to be postmarked by December 31.
