What gift card? Costco subtracted the rebate from purchase last time when I bought tires from them.
no waiting for gift card
Edit: I see for this time the promo is different. You will get rebate by email.
However, If you shop at Costco regularly, you can use the eCash Card with future other purchases. Why wait to use on rims?Receive a $110 Costco eCash Card with the purchase of 4 Michelin Tires.
The Costco eCash Card will not be displayed on your order confirmation. It will be delivered by our service provider TicketOps to your email address 7-10 days from the date of order. Valid from September 30, 2019 to October 13, 2019.

The current promo on Michelin and BFG tires is for a $110 ecash card, not your typical rebate off the selling price.

Oh cool! First time trying to buy tires from costco.
Get a $110 costco cash card with the purchase of 4 tires. Thought they would send an e-gift card that i could use towards the purchase of 4 alloys in this deal.
If they subtract it from the purchase price that makes it much easier. Did you purchase online or in store?

They take $100 off the total after adding taxes, therefore your $100 off is $87 off.

Shame it is just alloy. Last time around it was steel as well, which if you are buying a set of winter tires is what you'd be looking for.

Any issue with using the cheapest of these alloys for winter though? I have a bad back and the lighter alloys would make it somewhat easier to load the vehicle for the trip to the tire change.
Also, what do the symbols under the tire picture indicate?

Look on the alloys page with your car infos. I can see for my car that they have "winter friendly" symbole for some models.
And, above this, I am driving with cheap alloys each Winters since the last 5 years without any issue with the wheels except very light chips because of screening spreaded on the roads

I am new to wheels, please help me out.
17X8 5-112 35P C66.6
17X7 5-112 42P C66.6
What's the difference between this two?
I only know the tires I want are 225/45R17

The difference is the offset of the wheel. +35 for the first and +42 for the other. Essentially the +42 will sit 7mm closer to the hub compared to the other.
Your best bet would be to see what the offset of your OEM wheels are and select the one closest to that.

Does that still apply even if you downsize down your tires?btechballer wrote: ↑ The difference is the offset of the wheel. +35 for the first and +42 for the other. Essentially the +42 will sit 7mm closer to the hub compared to the other.
