I picked one up from Costco a few weeks ago. Called and got a price adjustment since it was less than 30 days.

Looks like the new TCL 5 series might be the better deal for this quality of tv but 75 inches... That's a big boi! Maybe it's worth it then :)

Thanks OP. I got the HiSense for 899 but it’s back ordered till November 8th. Sounds like this is a budget TV as well. Would it be worth extra 400 to pay for the Sony instead? Is it 400 bucks better is my question. Outside of android tv...I can just get a fire stick to run kodi.

Not sure it's a good idea for anyone to buy a TV that isn't hdmi 2.1 right now.

Might as well wait for that refresh.

You are 100% correct ... however, this is 75" at $1.2k. I don't know man! Not sure what extra HDMI 2.1 is going to bring to my life right now.
All i truly need is one remote control to rule them all, and if this Sony supports CEC as well as ARC then it might just be the one.

If my memory is correct, last year, some TVs were cheaper during regular sales before BF/BD. BF/BD aren't the best deals anymore.

This one runs the official Android TV OS, the play store is missing some apps that weren't enabled for Android TV but you can sideload them from apkmirror and other stores.

One big advantage of Sony TVs is that they are flicker free displays (well most of them anyways - you can check Rtings). It's supposed to be much easier on your eyes.

I think I'll have to wait till the Sony X800H 75" drops to this price. I need an IPS display at this size cuz of viewing angles and brightness.
