This seems like a good price, want to start making beer, is this a good starting kit?

Looks like their regular price but to be honest if you're just starting out I'd recommend a bucket system. Are you starting out with wort kits, extract or jumping straight into full mash?

Depends on what you are using this for.
With plastic fermenters you have to make sure it’s food safe. Secondly plastic like to stain and pick up colour. My speidel fermenter has a hoppy smell that no amount of soaking eith pbw and hot water could remove.

For 140 bucks, you can pick up a brewilla which might be a better idea since there are so many extra things you can do with it for customization. (Temp control ss coils, pressure ferment spunding valve etc.)
As for pbw, you can make easy diy oxygen powder wash and buy star san on sale for a cheap price.

It's the regular price. The deal is the low cost booze?

How much wine and beer do I need to make to break even?
