[Bell] $150 Cash Card for Bell Samsung GALAXY Note 4

In the market for Note 4, found today Bell is offering $150 worth of cash cards at Costco which can be used to pay for $197.99 upfront price, thus brings the proce to $47.99 + device balance ($599.95). Do you guys think there is a better option out there, for this premium a device compatible with Wind. Thanks.

I'm a little unclear; this isn't to buy it outright, you'll be on a two-year plan? Or do you just select the pay-per-use?

In Ontario!
Online Bell shows $125 card on 2 year plan, Rogers shows $50 on said 2 year plan. Both offer free charger and bonus minutes!

I think you could cancel the contract, pay the 1st month and pay off the device balance. so technically you're a bit ahead of buying it outright due to costco card. Not sure if they'll allow it, but that might work.

Bought it on 70 plan from Costco on Friday. Got $150 cash cards which were used upfront, and had to pay $71.7 upfront from my pocket for the device, covering $197.99 for the device value. Converted to prepaid later in the day, supposedly would be charged $10 for migration to prepaid (to be completed in 5 days), supposed 5 days prorated plan cost for the service, and $575 for tab balance.

Would know definitely in a weekes time if this route saved me $125+ or not. Cheers.

Call them right back. There shouldn't be a 5 day wait period.

So you got the phone for $47.99. $197.99-$150=$47.99. There is a $15 Activation Fee. How do you get $71.7?

So you initially got the 2 yr 300min/1.5GB data $70 plan? How does prepaid works? How much? Is it month by month? How many mins/data are there? What is the $575 tab balance?

It was 197.99+12% tax - 150 = $71.74

Conversion to prepaid on Bell is to avoid paying plan cost for entire month ($10 + 5days pro-rated + tax = approx $25 instead of 70+tax). Ultimately I intend to go on Wind 35 plan.

Staying positive, entire cost of this breand new Note 4 would be 71.74 + 25 + (575 +tax) = $740 instead of (797.99+tax) $893.75 straight purchase, so saving around $153.75. Hope this clarifies. Cheers

I'm a Note3 owner right now and it's the first smartphone I've owned for more than a year. about 16 months now. With that cash card promo I'm now really tempted, I was gonna wait for the s6 to come out in a month, but I guess I will not wait until then.

The rep said today is the last day for the $150 CC promo. The $70 plan only has 250MB.

S6 has removed option for expandable memory slot, which is a big one for me. Neither cannot wait till end Sep for Note 5, so had to go ahead with this deal. Cheers

This Note 4 is meant for my better half as she upgrades from iPhone 4S, I still stay put on my Trusty Note 3 from Wind. :)
