Who in their right mind will buy Halloween costumes in early August?

(Oh goodness, does that mean we'll see Christmas decorations shortly after? ) Face With Stuck-out Tongue And Tightly-closed Eyes

People that don't wait until October 30th and then complain there's nothing to buy. I don't think there's an expiry date on costumes.

I've already seen at Canac (local hardware store) Christmas tree up but without decoration.

This comment wins my vote.

Thanks OP for the photos. I'm not surprised to see Halloween costumes at Costco. I'm surprised to see they are on sale already.

It's hard to ask yourself, "Will this fit over their snowsuit?" when you are purchasing the costume wearing T-shirt, shorts and flip flops lol
Costco has everyone whipped to shop early, so all the deal hunters buy and hold. Heck, last year I bought a costume for my kid and they aren't even the proper age for the costume yet.

Looks like Walmart is jumping on board as well, based on OP's photos.
I was at Dollarama last night and the full Halloween section was up, ready to go.

Retail wants your $$$

Nice to see sensible interest-friendly costumes. Reminds me of a simpler time, pre-COVID, pre-Nonsense.

Sad to see no He-man costumes though.

I think some stores are following this model... Went to my local Dollarama last week and started seeing Halloween decorations on the shelf. Summer stuff starting to be pulled off. Guess it's the next seasonal item to stock.
