[Costco] 30 AA or 18 AAA Duracell optimum 9.97 - Woodbridge

30 AA or 18 AAA Duracell optimum reduced to 9.97.

Lots left.

The 30AA deal is pretty crazy.

https://www.duracell.com/en-us/technology/innovation/

This is new technology for extra power or extra life.

Anyway, there it is. Worth it to snag if in store. An 8 pack is 12.49 at Crappy Tire.

And 16.29 for 12 count at amazon.ca

I bought at least 100 of these and they all leaked. Costco was well aware and took them all back even without the package. These are not worth the cost as it damaged the equipment I put it in. It is a good price if you get a batch that don’t leak, but not worth the risk.

You better use them as soon as you buy them. Don’t store it.

Are you sure those were Optimum and not CopperTop? These Optimum are quite new I think. Not enough time to use 100 of them. I may be wrong, though.

When I read reviews on Duracell CopperTops I had an impression that every one of them leaked. I wonder if these are any better.

I stick to Energizer. Haven’t encountered leak issues. The leaks in Duracell is horrendous and ruined my gadgets.

I stopped buying duracells, they leak and wreck remotes and other items I put them in. I have never seen other batteries consistently leak like duracells

I have had both Energizer and Duracell leak when stored for months. The savings are gone when half of the batteries end up unusable. Now I am looking for rechargeable batteries instead.

Any recommendations?

I have been recently cleaning out my house/storage and came across various electrical devices that I haven't touched in years. You know, flashlights, computer mice, Xbox 360 controllers, etc. and I found that almost every Duracell I had found in the devices had leaked. I just read through all these posts and this just confirms it -- I am never buying Duracells ever again.

Similar experience but slightly worse with Duracell. I no longer buy large quantities. Savings eroded and equipment ruined. Instead I buy a a reasonable amount of smaller packages when there is a hot deal but only to match consumption.

It’s a great price. I was at Costco Waterloo this afternoon and didn’t really look at anything except the three things I needed. I have started to split things from Costco with family and friends because the waste just makes it more expensive and stuff just ends up in the garbage.

They are made by Duracell, but may not be exactly the same chemistry as copper-top batteries.

Kirkland batteries are a great value none the less.

Duracell is all leaky garbage now - especially the ones Costco gets. I’ve switched to energizer with way better results.
