Looks like my RFD account was recently hacked. I do not sell anything on RFD especially GC's.

and a pack of 4 for $102.41

The above at costco have 10 filters being a 2-pack of 5 filters each?
This is the 5" filters not 1" filters, this is is the first time I'm seeing this posted for costco. 1" filters are a dime a dozen.

No. They are 5 inch filters, not the 1 inch ones you listed.

The same 5 inch filters are $180 for a 4 pack on Amazon. https://www.amazon.ca/Filtrete-16x25x5- ... 01C8LYJCI/

Seems good to me if you need this size. These are the 5 in. filters which are more expensive (link above is for 1 in.)

For comparison, same filters are around $50 at Amazon and Rona for just 1 filter.

Our furnace needs around this size and would consider this although always have to check the exact size as it's usually off a little from what the label says.

Boy CT reduced them even cheaper than $17. I wonder if the can price adjust the 3 dollars x2 for me.
$6 can buy me two A&W burgers.

Now $14.93 each on clearance.

My high efficiency furnace got broken due to these type of the filter with not enough air flow.. HVAC told me best to use the cheapest air filter you can possibly get, and replace them monthly....

Nothing I can find in Ontario.

Also saw these a few months ago at the Winona Costco. The lowest I've been able to grab these filters for has been around $30 from Lowe's on a sale.

I believe these are for furnaces which have a variable rate fan, as the 5" presents a much greater surface area of filter suitable to low volume air movement. I have such a beast.

I buy the 5" and stock up for my furnance. At the same time I modified the same size filter for my box fan air cleaners.

I have a high velocity furnace that use this size. Takes the heat from the hot water tank and uses a blower to circulate the hot air.

Yes. Do a search on this site lots of information on type and rating of furnace filters. ......the low MPR/MERV filters, any brand, changed once a month is perfectly fine for your furnace. The rest is all all marketing BS

My furnace requires these. I move in 4 weeks so not getting one. This is a decent price. You can expect to pay about $42 for one when on sale and they can be hard to find. My local Home Hardware only carries a handful at any time.
