[Costco] 55"/65" Hisense H8809 & Q8809 $547/$847 & $497/$897 Online W/FS

Costco has the Hisense 55" and 65" H8809 series $597/$897) and Q8809 series ($697/$1097) online shipped. With the usual 90 day return, 2 year warranty and $60 3 year warranty extension (5 years) for sub $1000 TVs and $100 for + $1000 TVs.
You do not have to be a Costco member for most online orders, but for TV's there is some question about concierge services and whether non members get 90 days to return and the second warranty year from Costco.

These would be a good comparison or possible alternate to the TCL 6 series $689 & $989 at Costco instore or shipped. The H8809 is also local dimming and the Q8809 is local dimming and Qled. Both Hisense are also Android TV based, as opposed to TCLs Roku based OS. As always with both brands quality control can be a factor, and you might need to exchange to get an acceptable unit.

These TV's are back up at the same prices until 10/31

Prices are down to 55"/65" Hisense H8809 & Q8809 $547/$847 & $597/$997 shipped.

Looks like 30 of the 55Q8809's available at $497.97 today. And the 65Q8809 now for $897

So anyone who bought a 55Q8809 recently at the higher price better try for a price correction before they sell out. That's a saving of $130 plus tax. $100 on the TV and $30 on the warranty, if you got one at $60. Saving $113 on the 65Q8809 if you paid $997

They are really good value. I wish Costco had the H9F too. The Q8809 is like the H8F with quantum dots, so it'd be better than the TCL 6 series in colour gamut. But a bit dim for bright rooms or HDR, compared to the TCL.

I have the 2018 TCL Series 6 and been keeping an eye on the H8809 as they seem to be priced against each other. Think I'll pull the trigger and compare the two.

The Q8 is also interesting but can't find too many reviews on it.

Right know my list is the Vizio M 2019, Q8, Series 6, and the H8809. I was planning on holding one of these and reevaluate with the BF/Boxing day sales

Also waiting for the 2019 series 6 to come to Canada. Way too many options..

Here's a reddit post where a user compared the TCL 6 to the H8809.

For $100 cheaper it's a good option, but rtings still does rate the TCL 6 Series as the better value/budget TV.

You're right. It's probably comparable to Seriss 6 where as I'm looking for improvement. Got bit by the TV bug.

Probably spring for the Q8 or Vizio M.

Great, just looking at them recently since my TCL 6 has series band issue and going to return it.
I like the 4 HDMI ports and Android TV system which save me one HDMI from MI BOX 4K.

Can you post a picture? I have some slight banding, but I don't watch sports or play games on my tv. I can't see the banding in movies/shows.

Visions has them. Not sure if they have displays out in stores. You could also look for US reviews.
Different model numbers though. Probably something like 55Q8F.

H8809 is H8F while Q9 is H9F. Couldn't find anything for the Q8

I'm still within the return window of buying the Vizip P55-F1 a few months ago.. I was wondering if the 55 H8809 @ the $600 price would be better (That's what I paid for the Vizio as well)

thanks

I am debating between H8809 vs Q8809. Which ones to choose for 55" one?

Just curious, I want to buy a flat screen this season. Does anyone have a list of the best sub $800s to look for to have a giant discount during black friday? Or do I just follow rting's list?
So far from my RFD education it seems that the TLC and this HiSense is good, but they are all costco items and won't get the black friday treatment.

Have the Q8809 55" for a few weeks now. Very happy with it. Already submitted a price adjustment. Not a tech/TV junkie but looks better than the H8809 for only $100 more. Lucked out and seem to have a good set. Dont see any light leaks, or banding or any colour funkiness.
