This TV seems like a great price and it's not really too far off the U88H.
The $500 difference between the two is totally subjective to each person.
12 in stock as of 2:22 p.m. et
Here's a recent comparison of the two models:

Went by Visions yesterday and they said the 75" U88H is in backorder until next year... Probably the same issue at Costco. :(

Personally I watch everything with subtitles and cant stand how regular dimming zones bloom white text in dark backgrounds.

U88H 75” showing out of stock but the price raised to $2497? WTF?
That’s a $500 jump if it comes back in stock at that price.

I suggest to go take a look at the TV in person if possible. Went to Visions today, it is a great tv for the price. What bothers me the most is the viewing angle which is quite bad if you are using it in a wide seating arrangement. Both u78h and u88h has this issue.

If you’re considering the 65” I’d pick it up asap.
The price for the 75” is now $2499 at Costco, Visions and Brick ( didn’t check anywhere else).
This one will probably go to $1800-$2000 if it follows the 75” pricing.

Still is $1499. Not sure where you seeing $2499. Edit no stock at Costco.

I'm always baffled by the amount of people buying TVs. Like, what happened to your TV you purchased 3/4/5 years ago?
Or do people always make the same mistake and buy the cheapest biggest TV at the time and realize the want a better one?

It hardly makes sense to buy a non-OLED right now if you already have a capable 4K TV with 7+ rating on RTINGS.

I recently purchased a QN90A 65" and the LG C1 65" at LD's $999 cyber monday deal and I've since flip them both because it made no sense to upgrade from my 2018 Vizio P series for a 10% better image. I sat the TVs side by side, it's like finding waldo to nitpick the differences. "Ooooo the blacks are so black" is like a cult chant.

Look at the prices of OLED plummet, just wait it out and buy a GOOD 75 OLED in 2 years for 1500.

The $2499 is for the 75", not the 65" but if the 75" is increasing I'd bet the 65" does too.
I attached a screen shot of the $2499 pricing in my post above. Also if you check visions and the brick, you'll see the 75" pricing at $2499 as well now.
