Last time I went for a O365 Family plan I purchased individual plans before adding the family one and the term became the addition of the individual plan + the family plan, but the license is family for the whole term.

99 cad is a good price. I think individual is around 75 cad using a company discount.

Does this come with one code for 6 ppl, or 6 individual codes?

Could I buy and stack them for 6 x 15 months?

I doubt it but thought I would ask.

Thanks will be needing this again in the new year.

I did notice that I bought this same product at Staples last year

https://www.staples.ca/products/2978036 ... 4616207489

If you read the description it says you get three free months.

Not sure how to get the 3 additional three months reached out to Microsoft and they said I need to deal with Staples.

Anybody who has received this 3 free months in the past how was it applied? Is there an extra code to enter?

Thanks

You typically add it to your account and share it with up to 6 others. Not sure if they have to be within the family, as before they switched to Personal/Family, it could be anyone you share the link to. Everyone would get up to 1TB OneDrive storage.

I believe the max you can stack is about 2.5 - 3 years.

The best way so far is to buy the cheapest Office 365 Individual. Stack the codes, and upgrade via subscription (upgrade to family) and cancel immediately.
Depending on how many codes you added to your account, should be upgraded to Office 365 Family.

Sorry, just to clarify, you had a Personal Plan say 1TB, you then bought a Family Plan, did your storage limit increased to 2TB and for all family members?

I bought this for 2 years mainly for the drive. Till recently bought the synology to build 10 TB NAS, cost 1000 cad. But you gain more in a few years. Plex the NAS can do plex, and so much more

We'll have to see if M$ matches it as I still have $20 in the store from the Cyberpunk 2077contest to use up. But this is a good price for the service, especially if you share the cost...

I just bought it yesterday and activated it. It automatically gave me 15 months. Microsoft even offered me an additional one month if I add recurring billing (which I did) - so now I have 16 months until 4/28/2022. You will receive only one code who will be the primary owner of the family subscription and you can add another 5 people (by sending an email invite or sharing the link) - which they can use. You can also stop sharing with anybody in the middle of the subscription time period.

I shared with 5 other people and so we ended up paying less than $19 (including taxes) for 16 months or slightly above a $1/month for office 365 with 1TB of cloud storage - which is pretty cheap imo

On the MS site it lists Publisher and Access as well but not on costco page. Can someone confirm those are included with the costco code? Thanks!

Only the term duration and the quantity of users stack. The storage is always 1tb, but you could create multiple accounts that you own. What I did is that I created 3 accounts for me (1 main and 2 for storage) and I created a folder on each of the 2 storage ones that I share (edit/read) with the main account so I can manage all the storage from one single account (3 TB).

Thanks OP, not sure why you're getting downvotes. I usually have the 109.99 subscription + tax for 12 months from MS. This is 10 bucks cheaper for something that was due for me plus there is the extra 3 months and MS gave me another month to turn back on recurring billing.

Thanks again!

Good price. However before you buy it's worth checking out if the company you work for has the Microsoft Home Use program, you might be surprised to find that you already qualify to get the same thing for a lower price ($89 IIRC).

To get an extra month (16 in total) start with a the one month free trial and then apply the code you purchased. This will probably only work for new subscriptions.

I bought office 365 from HUP a couple of years ago and it wasn't on subscription.

Is there a non subscription version? It sounds kind of dumb to lose access when your subscription runs out.
