[Costco] Acurite weather station with colour - clearance $19.97

Saw these at Costco East Hill in Calgary. Not sure about other Costco, so it might be YMMV.

I find this model didn’t sell well because the models previously the Costco carried Had a lot more features. That said this is great for anyone who wants some basic information about the weather. I love these weather stations and own one

I saw these at Markham (Yorktech) last week for this price too.

This model uses the stick that you hang from a tree. IMO isn't as good as the one that has the wind measuring tool.
Tis banana is IRIE

10% off is cold, 50% off is warm, 75% off is hot, but FREE IS RFD!

Have the same one, but with inverted colors (dark mode). Happy with it. Except for the current temp here.

I have the higher model which includes wind speed and hence also a "feels like" temp. Was really cool. Also was $20 from costco

However .. the wind turbines wore out and broke... probably due to thermal cycles.... and the replacement with US shipping is more than $20.

It still works.. just no wind function...

If you buy one, keep the receipt. A couple of years ago the weather stations with the wind speed went down in two phases before they were all gone. I would expect these to go down more eventually if they don't sell fast enough. Last time I checked inventory looked kind of high on these at my Costco. If they do go down again, just buy another and get it reimbursed with your highiest cost receipt.

I was looking for an Acurite humidity monitor on Amazon, but after seeing this clearance item at Costco, would this be a better buy? Since this one has outdoor/indoor humidity and a bunch of other info? Or would a dedicated humidity monitor be better (i.e. accuracy, etc)?

I prefer one of the cheaper Acurite humidity monitors from Amazon (about $11) since they can run an entire year off a single AA battery whereas the Costco one requires wall socket power.

I picked one of these up at Thorncliffe last week. Looked like they had several dozen of them at that time.

Good point. I think I saw on the Amazon listing for the Costco version that it needs 5 (!!!) AAA batteries.
