Would adding an additional station + sensor cause confusion for the stations to sync to the right sensor?
It depends on how close are your neighbours and how many of them have similar stations (doesnt have to be exactly same, but with same type of sensor).
For example, I've got similar one about a year ago, and when I brought it home and turned on head unit very first time, I've got instant readings on the screen before even turning on the sensor! Playing with ABC I've figured out that apparently I have at least 3 sensors in close neighbourhood around my house... so I've put mine in the basement and able to get reading from there if/when needed... :)

For the price it’s a fun toy but why this and not the weather app on your phone?

It's like seeing who has the bigger truck comparison....

But I get the smaller humidity and temperature monitors for indoor use to make sure humidity isn't too low or high which you can't do with a phone. That is super important to prevent mold growth.

My Ecobee is telling me the RH in my house and telling me the outside temperature obtained from Internet.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.

I don’t have one yet, but would like to because I live a hundred feet higher elevation than my local weather station at the airport. The weather is a little different up here, so I’d definitely enjoy it.

I assume they're more accurate than a phone since sensors are outside your house

Don’t buy the cheap one on Amazon. I found this unit to be the most accurate

All that accuracy from 1% humidity and up yet it lacks a decimal place in the readings for the tenths digit? Even the cheaper models have a tenths digit.

It’s for information. Does it really matter if the humidity is 40% or 40.03%?

I just want to know if I need to turn on the humidifier.

Tenths is nothing hundredths. Check your decimals.

It does indeed matter if it is 20.0 deg C vs 20.9 deg C for what the thing displays in addition to humidity.

I don't have this gadget or any weather station....but I imagine it may be nice to know your micro-local temperature, including the real-temp with winds included. Also inside home readings are nice as someone stated above.

As an aside, you'd think knowing the numbers would clue you in on how to dress optimally. But sometimes I get something like -10, I dress in very warm gear, I walk outside and find I'm over heating and the weather is calm. Other times, they give me -3, so I only put on mild winter gear, I step outside and it's nasty and windy and I'm left feeling cold. Sometimes, you have to follow the old Elton Benes' way - just stick your head out the window.

I just got a $100 tablet and set it up as a weather forecast station :)

Unless you live next door to the weather station you can’t really compare the two things
