Unless you live next door to the weather station you can’t really compare the two things
Well they’re different, but usually temperatures are similar throughout a city,
and internet connected will give you much nicer forecasting ...

Tenths is nothing hundredths. Check your decimals.

It does indeed matter if it is 20.0 deg C vs 20.9 deg C for what the thing displays in addition to humidity.
I only use it for humidity. I don’t really care about the inside temperature. I find that the humidity can vary greatly from each floor of the house. I want to maintain proper humidity levels for good health. If the temperature is off, put on a sweater

Depends on your city. Many cities have different altitudes or temps based on winds and other various reasons. That's fine if it works for you but again you can't really compare. A local mini weather station vs online forecasting serve two different wants. The temp where I live vs my local weather station can be different by 4 or 5 degrees either way a lot of the time.

Not in Ottawa. Barrhaven, Kanata and Orleans usually have different weather. Barrhaven is usually colder. Many times it rains in Kanata but dry in Barrhaven.

For the price it’s a fun toy but why this and not the weather app on your phone?
This could be an honest question, if so, you're exempted from the rhetoric below.

My Ecobee is telling me the RH in my house and telling me the outside temperature obtained from Internet.

FFS, why do keep getting posts like this every time one of these weather stations comes up for sale?

Some people live nowhere near a weather station, some live somewhat close, but the temps are never/seldom close enough to local temps, some use them at a cottage/cabin where they don't have internet, and some people just like gadgets to play with.

If this isn't the type of product you need, simply move along. Your 'solutions' don't apply.

When your internet, cell and tv access all goes down during the next mega-ice-storm or alien invasion you'll still be able to know that it's cold outside :D

Weather app doesnt tell me my RH in my house. Weather app works for the closest city. For some in this country, thats miles away.

Ive drove 9 miles and had a 14 degree temperature change in winter,

And then as well, not everyone relies on the internet for every aspect of their life or have their phones attached to them 24/7 Id rather walk buy something and take a quick glance for the info whenever I want

And as well, its $19.97, not $199.97

It shows the RH for that floor, but not for the entire house. The RH in the basement is usually quite different than the upper floors.

I have my furnace fan on to move air throughout the house and hoping the RH is closed enough for every floor. For $20, I will get this unit to check the difference.

Da boot
Are these the ones with the out door sensors that never properly sync to the indoor base?
