Was cheaper for Black Friday/ Boxing day 2019 (no time machine).
Sharing here for those in the market.
Price shows 380.99 for me in Nova Scotia, other provinces may vary.

Good price. If you had a time machine, these were $348 for black Friday.

You're insulting the A10 chip by asking if it's good for casual browsing... It can do much more than casual browsing, or candy crush.

Yes it does. I bought it during BF and got a pen from AliExpress for around $25, works great.

The Apple KB/Case is expensive. Got a used one from eBay in the US for around US 55. They go for around double that price.

Well technically... with a time machine you'd want to go into the future to get it even cheaper...
Just sayin'

And thx for posting.

Thanks, the Aliexpress pen, it is a 3rd party I assume. Do you have a link?

How does the pen charge? Via lightning or something else?

I assume it's comparable to the first gen pencil where you can't charge by placing it on the side of the newer ipads?

Charges via microUSB. You cannot charge charge it on the side. That's the downside of a 3rd party product. But the quality using good, been using it for almost a month.

Lowest BF price was $329 ($349 - $20 off coupon at Costco) and lowest Boxing Day price was $344 ($369 - $25 at Staples, IIRC). I missed the Black Friday price just by minutes when it went out of stock while in my basket.

I was planning to use this iPad as a consumable for news and media while traveling or during commutes, but I decided to invest in a high-end tablet (probably Surface) instead so I can do both work and play. Oh well.

Well in that case, ignore what I said lol - unless you're truly on a budget and need an iPad.
