thanks ordered 128gb gold! my mom's been wanting a new iPad and I wasn't sure if I should buy last Gen or the current 10.2, which isn't a huge upgrade. For $150 difference, it was an easy decision.

FYI, Fido from time to time has back pocket offers - $100 discount if you pay upfront for hardware and sign up for a month to month data plan. 32GB iPad is $360-$100=$260 plus activation and plan fees. The cellular version has GPS.

I personally prefer a bigger tablet but my wife swears by the Mini. I believe that Mini though is better spec’d overall.

It's so hard to keep up with ipads.

Is this the latest 9.7" one?
Any differences between this and the 10.2" apart from the obvious size difference?

Thanks

Outside of support for the newer keyboard, the only thing worth noting is the bigger screen. The extra screen space is nice. Not sure if I’d spring the extra $150 for it though but to each their own.

This is the 6th generation iPad, which is the last 9.7" tablet by Apple and is being cleared out for the 7th generation (10.2") that was just released.

When the 7th gen was announced, the only 2 apparent changes were the larger 10.2" screen and the smart keyboard connector -- everything else was the same and most people felt it didn't improve much on the 6th gen. However, iFixIt has done a tear down and confirmed that the 7th gen iPad has 3GB of RAM compared to the 2GB of RAM that the 6th gen iPad has. This extra RAM will help with multiple apps open and multitasking with less app refreshes when switching apps.

Ugh. Just bought two days ago. I assume I can just go to a store and do a price adjustment?

Good price, but I would think twice about getting a 2 GB iPad in 2019, if you plan on keeping your iPad for a long while. If you multitask a lot, the app and Safari tab refreshes can get annoying on 2 GB iPads.

Might get for wifey.....Considering she now has an iPad Air 1st gen this will still be a huge upgrade I would think....

Yeah it is, also iOS 13 isn't supported on the Air1 which has a lot of nice usability improvements.

I still have an ipad Air (first one). Worth an upgrade? wanted to upgrade from 32GB. Mostly used for watching movies and some light surfing. No gaming
