Anyone know what Costco's return policy is for Ipads? I want to buy one but only if I can return it during black friday sales in the event that there is a better deal during that time. so that's 2 1/2 months away

Some people just have too much money (or in serious debt, LOL). What are people do with their iPad?
If it ran Mac OS, which I know Apple will NEVER allow but is this even 5G?
I don't need a tablet but got the Samsung Galaxy S9 FE 5G because it was a Hot Deal. It does the job when I'm laying back on the recliner/bed. I forgot the S-Pen is included!

For me, I use it as an e-reader (library books and Apple News+), to keep an eye on matinee Blue Jays road games during work hours, play the odd Apple Arcade game (Zen Pinball Party is my favourite), do Apple Fitness+ workouts away from my Apple TV, and play Apple Music (like a portable Homepod).comp_freak wrote: ↑Just curious what is your usage? Yes, I could do all these things on an iPhone, but its great to have larger screen, bigger battery, and better speakers!
Please do not @ me, thank you

I have replaced my notebook with an iPad since 2011. It is not a perfect laptop replacement but it does 90% of what I need when I am on the road. Nothing else compares and this is coming from an Android user
As for the RAM, the iPad OS is extremely efficient, it’s crazy how efficient it is. Watch the video and see for yourself
I just upgraded to the M4 and this thing is more powerful than most laptops. It also costs more than most laptops too. If Apple didn’t gimp the device, they would not sell any more MacBooksBuynowbrokelater wrote: ↑ Here we go again. I'm surprised to see so many people questioning why you'd need an iPad. I would suggest that other than for various specific high-end tasks (3-D rendering, software development, etc) that you don't need a computer in this day and age, just an iPad. Certainly for anyone that is not very comfortable using a computer, an iPad is the way to go. And myself I am VERY comfortable using computer, and I still don't own one anymore, I do it all on my 12.9 M1 iPad.
Its been this price for few weeks…if no rush, hold off for real clearance price, hopefully somewhere around 799

It’s a laptop replacement for mecomp_freak wrote: ↑ Just curious what is your usage? Is this a laptop replacement?
It really depends on your work flow
I can get 90% of the work I need done on an iPad
For anything that is Windows based, I use Jump Desktop and remote into my Windows computer and do the work there.

You'll always see these types of comments on Apple deals. Then the others complaining about 8gB oF rAm?! Oh, the horror!
Smh.
Don't want it? Don't buy it. Better yet, don't even comment if you're not contributing to the conversation.

Awesome deal. Was really torn between this and the m4 using student discount but I was able to get a Magic Keyboard on clearance from the source for $129 which sealed the deal. Great upgrade from my 1st gen

For me, my ipad has been collecting dust for months, maybe even close to a year now if I didn't sporadically turn it on to see if I would use it more.TimmerOttawa wrote: ↑ I'm surprised to see so many people questioning why you'd need an iPad. I would take everything you just said except apply it to the ipad, everything that could be done on the ipad, could just be done on a phone, except with much more optimized UI, more portably and more compact, and have usable cameras on top of that. And anything that requires actual typing or a desktop OS could only reliably done on a laptop or desktop.
I don't think it's uncommon actually, I remember Mark Gurman (the guy who leaks Apple news for Bloomberg) saying the same thing, he rarely uses his ipad anymore and just uses phone and laptop. Of course, if ipads get MacOS or anything alike, it would be a game changer because you'd get a touch screen and a full OS. But Tim Cook doesn't want ipads with MacOS to cannabalize Mac sales and make them obsolete, even though Steve Jobs was happy to let iphones make ipods obsolete.
Space grey sold out now. Only silver left.
Definitely if you don’t need it it’s better to wait and get a better price. If there’s any stock left.
Maybe Black Friday might have some offers to clear out remaining stock.

My Air 4 is still kicking so I'll keep it a while longer. This is still a great deal, thanks OP!

So tempted but resisting. Would love the flexibility of the iPad pro vs an actual laptop. But love having dual boot on my Macbook Pro currently. When it goes I'll look into an iPad pro.
