[Costco] Aspire C24 All-in-One Desktop - C24-1651-UR15 8GB DDR 512G SSD $499.99 (Ontario)

Acer Aspire C24-1651-UR15 AIO Desktop | 23.8" Full HD IPS Display | 11th Gen Intel Core i3-1115G4 | Intel UHD Graphics | 8GB DDR4 | 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD | Intel Wi-Fi 6 | Windows 10 Home

The only down is that it is intel chip, generations behind AMD. Any comment?

I saw three sets at Markham woodbine location.

This seems quite okay?

I've bought some low-tier NUC-type devices in the past year or two and this would run circles around them.
Kind of appreciate the simplicity of the all in one form factor for the parents.

Anyone know availability in other Costcos? Mississauga?

Not sure if it is good deal
At $500, cpu comparison with amd shoudn't be too much of an issue for this will great for interneting, rfding....not 4K editing.

That's the going price for a lowly 15" laptop. You're getting 24". If portability is not needed this is a great buy. Coming from Costco with its 2yr warr at that.

Upvoted.

Impressed it has HDMI IN and out... but guessing it's more as a way to use another source with that display, and will not be recognized as a capture device within windows (for capturing/digitizing videos etc.).
Any thoughts?

It's a good price. They chose a low wattage cpu in a desktop format which doesn't make a lot of sense other than probably having a 100W power supply probably!

Checked, 65W power supply lol

Look, if you needed a screen this is a good price. If you already had a screen, maybe slightly less enticing.

The cpu is very weak, maybe add $200 upgrade to a much better laptop.

This would be ideal for parents or kids who just watch YouTube, use Microsoft Office, and browsing.
The monitor, SSD, ram, and Windows is already worth $500...

So perfect for my father who is using a 10 year old acer desktop. I recently upgraded, or rather added 4gb ram to his system. Total 8gb. And he's still complaining about it being slow.

Main use is for MS office, tons of YouTube, and emails.

Question is: will this support Windows 11 and future updates at least for another 5 years?

After i read everyone's feedback, i went back to the store in the afternoon. There are simply too many RFDer in Markham. (All the three box unit are gone)

Only the display model left and i asked if i can get some dollar off. The costco worker said he cannot, but he helped me to called a store manager. The store manager said he is in good mood and ok, so i ended up get it for $399.

No box, no manual. But wireless mouse and keyboard is included.

Thanks OP.

Grabbed one at Mississauga Heartland.

They had 4 units in stock at the end of the day 545pm.
Mississauga Laird did not have any.

Edit: Set it up today, machine has windows 11 and runs extremely well for non-gaming activities. Boots in seconds, very responsive. Monitor quality ain't particularly good (viewing angles) - but for an individual sitting in front of, no biggie.

I didn't find a way to re-map the upper row of function keys to default to their "F1-F12" behaviour rather than their special hotkey functions. Didn't see anything in the bios. . .
- I'd find that extremely frustrating for my own personal use. But parents won't notice.

I haven't seen this out west but I just picked up a Dell 5400 AIO i5 for $799. On sale from $999.

Still thinking about whether or not to keep it but based on comments here, leaning towards keeping it.

Please be also aware that Coscto does not put this item as computer or acer on my receipt, it only shows the part number.

If you need official receipt for reimbursement or tax expense proof, please be careful on this.
