Big miss is no quick charge (big battery and no quick charge? that's a big fail), and Asus sucks at releasing updates. I had this phone, and I sold it for more than I paid for it. At this pricepoint, Xiaomi Mi A2 is a better phone.

How is it compared to the Moto G5 also sold at Costco?

I guess they figured most people will be plugging it in only at night since the battery will last all day and won't care too much about that...

how so? Bell uses Band 4, 2, and 7 in most areas.

You would be okay with the big 3, just not Freedom Mobile for 3G talk. Pretty nice battery life, and an alternative to the Redmi Note 5 Pro that's discussed quite a bit in the forums.

no fast charge sucks but to be fair, it lasts like 3 days on an overnight charge. Also AMOLED screen is beautiful. had one, returned because it wasnt a big performance improvement over my ZF 2, barely = to a ZF 3.

final note: its only 32gb.

the price, however, is sweet.

Edit. I mentiond it didn't have fast charging in error. It has fast charging (2.1A), what it doesnt have it Qualcomm Quick charging, which is even faster and on the ZF 2. At this price i may have to buy one as a backup but i already used my masterpass on a generator. Maybe setup a new account.

IIRC i paid $375/$400 after taxes and - $25 staples coupon when it was launched. This price is very good but the 32gb is a hanging point for me.

Another issue was the curved screen and lack of tempered glass protectors available. The ones that are available leave a gap around the beveled edge that lets dust accumulate between protector and screen.

I have this phone. It does have fast charging with the bundled adapter.

I also use this phone in Canada with no problems whatsoever. I mostly use Bell.

Without question, this is the best phone I've ever purchased. For me, battery is the main thing. I don't game, I don't do much heavy lifting but for all of the basic functionality, it's really good. And to speak on the battery, I charge this phone once every couple of days - if that. Usually once every three to four days. I can comfortably leave my house with 20% and not worry about using GPS, calling, bluetooth for a good half-day.

And there definitely is quick charging. I'm not an expert, so maybe other people in this thread are referring to something else, but with the main adapter, the phone recharges almost fully in about an hour I would say.

How does it compare to the P20 @ $210 ($360 - $150 in bill credits for 6 months) from Koodo?

I might have to jump on this instead of the Mi A2 Lite that I was considering... What to do, what to do...

Also, I'm seeing $279.99... Not the 259.99 as per OP.
