[Costco] Asus Zephrus G14 GA401IU-BS76 $1699.99

Not a deal per se but those who were waiting patiently for this laptop as there seems to be no stock anywhere (Best Buy), Costco.ca now has it in stock. The model is GA401IU-BS76

This thing is almost impossible to find stock of. Nice find.

It's the almost perfect AMD 4000 series notebook. A good display (with caveats), slim form factor, excellent performance (despite the heat).

The biggest issues IMO is that the FHD 120Hz display has an abysmal ~22ms GtG response time and the 8GB of soldered RAM.

OP, you live in Montreal. How do you get it shipped to Quebec? It shows that the product doesn't ship to Quebec, most likely because it's due to English keyboard only. Anyway to bypass this thing?

It was going to be my first choice but read up about some of the snags it has. Impressive battery life though on the unit with people reporting about 8 hours

It let me add it to cart but I didn't do a checkout. Maybe it's not allowed to be sold in stores? Strange thing is that I bought the HP Omen from Costco.ca and it's not like the "old" bilingual keyboard, it's pretty similar to that of a US english

Most likely out of stock. Shows only 1 available on the website.

I've had my eye on the g14 for a few weeks now, so thanks, OP. The link shows me "product not found". Maybe it's out of stock. When Costco stocks a laptop, do they normally have several variants available? $1700 is really high for a Ryzen 7 model with those specs, but that's because it comes with win10 pro, which adds $200 or so and isn't too useful for a lot of home users. I'd probably prefer the 60Hz 1440p model with a Ryzen 9, personally.

Not to derail things, but is there a similar 15.6" laptop available? They all seem to be a lot more chunky or a lot more expensive than the g14.

The G15 is similar specs and cheaper. The higher end model comes with a 240hz panel.

G15 is way heavier and cheaper build though. Hoping for sale on G14 but no luck so far...

Thanks OP! This was a great deal considering Costco’s 2 year warranty and return policy. Let’s see how long it takes to ship.

I play a lot of FPS games on my G14 and I don't really any issues at all. I think the response rate issue is overblown. For reference, I have a 32" Samsung C32JG50 with a 4ms response time.

I would recommend people to try out the laptop if the screen is the thing that's holding them back. Just don't buy it from Canada Computers since their return policy is shit.
Brown ahead for Bure. Bure going in.. he scores! Pavel Bure has won it for the Vancouver Canucks! It's a triple overtime hat-trick for Vancouver!

1660ti Max-Q processor, so in reality you're getting something thats only slightly better than a 1650ti. At this price point, there's been better options with better GPU's (Non Max-Q's).

The G14 is only worth it if you go all out with the specs and get the 2060 variant with a Ryzen 9.
