I have this webcam that was bought for 89.99 in the pandemic years. Microphone is great. Privacy shutter is useful. Comparably the same as the Logitech C920 but brighter.

For 49.99 this is a great deal if you are in need of a great webcam for Zoom and Meet meetings.

Agree. Quality is as good as C920. Wider lens as well.

I have been using this for zoom meetings for the last 16-18 months. Bought it for $69.99. Good picture quality on the cameras.
Even better at $50.

The avermedia is a little bit ahead. I find the c920 a tiny bit muffled. Whereas the avermedia is crisp and clear. Theres actually a youtube comparison between the two.

Same here, wider is definitely a con because I want to limit my WFH office and the screen is cropped while meeting in group. So stay with my classic Logitech C270.

I don’t have this cam, but I like wider myself. Can do group calling with the wife, and also crop it down when just myself.

Can confirm, bought this for an interview, planned on returning it after. Kept it since it was so good.

Is the crop function part of the webcam software or is it dependent on specific applications (e.g zoom, webex) to have it?

Same question, most apps dont allow any cropping etc. Wide lens just brings lots of other areas in focus in professional settings that one wouldnt want.

There's free software called OBS where you can crop it how you want and output as a virtual cam to be picked up by any app like zoom.
