[Costco] Battery Tender 4 amp charger and maintainer $49.99

My local Costco had these on the shelf for $49.99 today. Was eyeing to get one from CT last week on sale for lesser 1.25amp for $80 or 0.75amp for $40 but what if I need to charge the battery? At 1amp charging 48amp battery, that would take 2+days.

The Costco one will charge at 4amp which isn't alot and maintain your battery specially when the car isn't in use for longer period of time.

With freezing weather, better to keep your battery in tip top condition rather then half dead and be stuck somewhere to get a boost or call a tow truck.

Lot of US sites have this in tin can package for U$65. Even without the tin can, CAD$50 at store for $55 online is great price imo. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dtn-022-0209dlwh

I've got the battery tender Jr and it's at 0.75amps. I'll see if I can find this one.

Seems like this thing will run continuously until the 25 hour elapses? Not very good if that's the case.

I already have a genius trickle charger, so no need for this, but I assume this also has an indicator when the battery is at 95% and 100% like the genius?

It is advertised as working for motorcycle batteries but isn't 4amps too much for those?

Noco chargers have way more features than the standard battery tender. I guess it would be no brainer if Noco G3500 was selling at $59.99 but it's up to the buyer if these feature are necessary for them. I use COLD/AGM mode for my BMW, works very well.

Noco model has a cold temperature mode. Also, if you want to preserve your battery for a long time, it's best to charge it at arround 2 amps.

I have the CTEK 3300 3.3A unit trickle charging two summer vehicles 24/7, in which one of the vehicle hasn't been unplugged for 2yrs straight without any issues.

I have a Mroinge 6v/12v 1amp unit, it barely kept the battery up for a one start time after all winter.
Hopefully this new one will do a better job than my previous El Cheapo unit.

I've been using a CTEK 4.3 on my 72 buick over the winter to keep it topped up during storage, and it's worked like a charm for many years. 2 years ago I swapped it our for a small battery tender 0.75A which I inherited, and I had no issues in spring time either. Reason I swapped it out, is because I now often use my CTEK on my other 2 cars to keep them topped up during the deep freeze months, and it works quite well. And once a year, I'll run them through a RECONDITION cycle to stir them up a bit :)

But these are interesting, since they also support Lithium (not that I need it now, but always interesting).

Signup for costco emails, get $20 coupon, and order 2 of these.. Would come to $45+tx each, shipped (since they are $55 each online)... Hmmm.... Tempting..
