It looks like they are adding/removing stock. The 550 link was redirecting to the 500's for a while.
There's also tan 585's if you search the site for Blundstone but after clicking the link it goes to the 500's.

again with this "not authorized dealer" bullshit? this sounds so weird, although I personally don't care at all and would still buy them if I needed them.

I wonder if it's an agreement between Costco and blundstone so that other companies don't complain about Costco getting them at a lower cost and in turn selling them lower than "retail"? Seems Costco often gets random supplies of items to sell a product (wasn't the last blundstone sale 2 years ago?), and not on a regular basis so they don't qualify as an "authorized dealer"

I've noticed this with Costco and other brands - Birkenstocks, Bowflex, Eddie Bauer, Arc'teryx, etc where they aren't authorized dealers but I'm fully confident they aren't counterfeit or B grades.

What I heard what it was "the grey market", in the sense that Costco would buy them from other authorized retailers and not directly from the company. But that doesn't seem to make sense from a financial standpoint. You might be on to something. I'd buy them anyway though.

Awesome I grabbed one of the 500s for my wife as hers are getting worn after many years. This is about $75 under the now inflated retail. However their customer service is great. I had mine split and they replaced without receipt. If blundstone happened to say you didn't buy from an authorized dealer then just return to Costco. retail
