[Costco] Boulanger - Embassy 80 sq/ft Suspended Ceiling Kit clearance ($99.97 65% off)

I have been wanting to replace my old suspended ceiling in my basement I saw this product at Costco and have read lots of positive reviews, seems like a really quality well-made product. I wouldn't pay $300 for 80 sqft but $99.97 is a great deal. At a little over a $1 a square foot that beats drywall by the time to sand, prime and paint.

This was found in Costco in Victoria BC, 8 left.

My partner and I installed it in our basement a couple of years ago. Ordered from Costco and had no problem returning a couple of extra boxes of tiles.

It was quick and easy - she did a lot of the measuring and fitting, I ran in and out of the house to cut the edge panels to size. You will need to own/borrow a decent table saw, which makes the process painless. You'll also need to think carefully about lights. We installed 4" and 6" circular LED lights from Home Depot in the center of some panels. That part requires getting a couple of circular cutting blades for a power drill that are the recommended size shown on the light package (Home depot had them, too). All you have to do is snap a line on the back of the panel and drill the hole in the centre (with the panels clamped on a workbench so you can cut out the middle).

After hanging for two years, the ceiling still looks great and gets complements. Looks much better than a traditional drop ceiling and gives you more space (there's only a 1 1/2 to 2 inch gap between the ceiling and the floor joists above).

I paid $220 last March.. looks really nice in the basement. That price included delivery and replacement for the boxes that UPS damaged.
