[Costco] Bulova 17 inch Wall Clock or Ottlite Flexible Desk Lamp ($19.97 each) YMMV

Found these at the Costco in Pointe-Claire QC, so YMMV on other locations!

Clock: Bulova 17” Solid Hardwood, Silent Sweep, Wall Clock

The second hand is continuously moving (not pulsing every second) and makes no noise at all.

I was actually surprised how well built it is, because even when it was in the packaging,
I thought it was nothing more than a good deal, but once I opened it to hang on the wall,
I was really impressed and went back for another one today. (Takes one AA battery which is included)

Lamp: Ottlite Flexible LED Lighting, 300 Lumen, 5000K Light Appearance, 40,000 Life Hours

When I went back for another clock, I saw these across the isle, and it was just what I needed!

This adjusts up to about 28” high, and is coated in a rubbery black matte finish.
The switch is basically an indent right above the Ottlite logo, and is touch sensitive.
There are three brightness settings.
I was worried it was battery operated, but when I opened the box (in store), I saw the power adapter!

In my opinion, the clock is a must buy, and if you need a desk lamp, this is a really practical light to have around!

Lastly, I didn’t take any in store pictures, but they also have Mole-Pipe 2-Pack in green or white for $9.97

Took me all of a couple minutes to do a custom cut in length, and install them on my two downspouts!
I only needed one piece and two of the small adapters, so I still have enough for another two downspouts!

HD has them for $20.60: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.mole ... 94025.html

Not sure how these can be sold for much more than that.

i dont often buy clocks so I'm not familar with the prices. Is the price for this clock considered a hot deal-or is there other alternatives to shop around that price range <$20

I've been looking for the Ottlite Desk Lamp for a while and it was priced at 34.99 before. However, I haven't seen it in Mississauga (Dixie x Dundas) Costco over the last month or so. Anyone saw it recently in Sauga?

Deal is ok but, like someone said, another price cut would make this hot. (and pay for the 48 battery pack)

LOL, I'll let you know...

I'm over the 24 hour mark with my first one... So far so good! ;)

Seriously though, I'm not sure how much more power this continuously moving second hand takes vs the pulsing ones, but I doubt it's anything significant!

For $20, to me, this is a great deal, and hanging on a wall at that size, it's much more impressive than it looks sitting in the box!

As for the price going even lower... I think I saw another post buzzing around these forums, but is was being liquidated for $29.97 (in an Ontario Costco)

If it does manage to go even lower, I'm keeping the receipts on me, so all I'll have to do is get the price difference without having to panic checking for stock.

In Vancouver, the first drop was $29.97, now $19.97.

Willingdon store has at least 3/4 of a pallet full.

is that ottlite any good? Anyone have experience with it? It seems cheaper than all of the chinese LED desk lamps (aukey/anker) and seems more reputable. Any review/thoughts would be appreciated.

I've had the Ottlite for a year, purchased it from the Etobicoke Queensway Costco when it was marked down to $14.97. Really like it, it's on my bed stand and especially helpful when I don't have to fumble for a switch in the dark.

I have several wall clocks which, like the Bulova, have a silent steady sweep movement. I imported mine from Korean sellers because it was hard to find anything locally back when I was looking. The battery life is the same as any clock, two years or so with a quality battery. If you value absolute quiet then getting rid of clocks which make a ticking sound is essential. You can find cheaper wall clocks everywhere like at Wal Mart if you enjoy the ticking sound.
