Costco can't fulfill tire warranty b/c of Russia

Costco can't fulfill tire warranty b/c of Russia

So I bought 4 Pirelli sub zero studded tires last season. Some studs fell out of one of the tires which is a warranty issue. Problem is tires were made in Russia so they can't sell any existing stock or order anything new or even do a local purchase.

Called up Costco and CS rep said don't wait till next season. Get it dealt with now. Problem is they don't have any studded tires in stock of any make.

Not sure what I should do...

Can you return them to Costco for a refund and buy something not made in Russia from some other retailer?

Makes no sense. Why wouldn't they use existing stock for warranty purposes?? I get it they won't be ordring new stock.

tell them to get a manger to help out can't see why they can't order another brand that isn't made in Russia or they should pay the cost for u to take it some place else and have it replaced by the other place that has another brand in stock.

Can't they order something in for you then you just refund the tires you have when the new ones arrive? Ask the manager if that's an option and get it in writing.

call back and have them escalate it. unsure where you live but winter here is ending so unsure why they said not to wait till later. if you get no where ask them to refund fully all 4 tires. my stocks will suffer but its kinda what you expect costco to do.
