Just got mine Monday. Hands down the best knife sharpener I've used. Took about 3-4 minutes to get a fairly beat up Global back to a perfect edge. Super easy to use.

Same here.
I'd had a stash of $100+ Knives I'd been finding at thrift stores and yard sales that I guess people got rid of because they didn't
cut well anymore. Sharpened those as practice and they are like new now.
Now to start on my good knives.

Man, that would be fun to search for. I don't know enough about knives though to find the gems. I bet you can find some great deals.

Anyone know what setting/stage I should use on a Victorinox chef knife? I would have thought 20 degrees, but I keep seeing a lot of reference on their site to saying "30 degrees", which I'm assuming might mean I should use 15 degrees (for each side, I guess?)

Seems so... I wanted to order one as a gift, mine is around 7 years old and still going strong. Too bad, I don't pay for memberships.

15 degrees by side, "Japanese" setting. I rarely use the 20 degrees.

Okay,I caved.

Anyone know if it’s possible to sharpen a serrated knife? I have a victorinox knife that’s serrated which I use for everything ...just curious if it’s even possible to sharpen a serrated edge whether with this sharpener or any sharpener for that matter?
*geez, I’m am idiot. Says right on the description for use with serrated edges too. Ok...hope it works !
