[Costco] Chef's choice 1520 knife sharpener back at Costco.ca for $99.99

Didn't see this on search and haven't seen it come up since 2021. Apologies and lock if I'm mistaken.

The 1520 sharpener back on Costco.ca for $99.99.

Looks like limit of 5 per order so couldn't do the 999 trick to check stock.

Waiting for the "here we go again" meme ...

Yeah, I know if you're "proper" you should use stones - but this does such a great job, and is so easy (and fast) to use, I've really enjoyed it the last few years, and my knives stay super sharp.

Seeing 109.99 as the price.
Still a good deal at this price point

Great device. Keeps all my knives sharp af. I'm typing this with 2 less fingers because of it.

But on the real would buy again.

For everyday home use, this is good enough for me. I aint no master chef, sushi chef so dont need no stones.

Has anyone seen this in store? Usually it's 10 dollars cheaper in store.

Haven’t seen this particular one but the Scarborough Business Costco has a few different sharpeners along with several higher end kitchen knives all locked behind a glass display close to the entrance.

I initially got the stone block and sharpened like two knives. But honestly its not worth the hassle. I'm guessing all of us have the victorinox knife when it goes on sale.

I saw a youtube video of a knife sharpening guy and he was saying the machine was 90% as good as using the stone block. So got the machine and takes me like a minute to sharpen my knife razor sharp.

Unless i have a knife that is > $100 I don't see the point in getting a stone.

Completely agree. Maybe stone is better but I feel like it would take me forever to master it. On the other hand it took me 5 minutes to sharpen my 5 knifes with my Chef's choice and that is good enough for me.

Agree
It used to be only death and taxes were inevitable. Now, of course, there's shipping and handling, too.

Self sharpening and dishwasher safe. Flexed Biceps
I cannot tell if you are serious or being funny….
The block has sharpening stones in the slots, every time you put the knives in, you “sharpen” them. Very wearing on the blade and you should clean them after taking them out, to get rid of the dust produced.
The knives are dishwasher safe, certainly not the block.

And the knives….. well, you can certainly find better at this price point

Reviews on Amazon suggest that the sharpener will mar/scratch your knives.
