Your contraption doesn't do the 12 and 15 degree knives.

Also, chef's choice sharpeners don't destroy knives if you follow the directions. Been using them for a decade with out issues.

That 'contraption' will actually do any angle you want and is much more flexible in the variety knives you can sharpen unlike the electric sharpener Face With Tears Of Joy Though I'd personally recommend the Spycerco stones/kits over Lansky.

Will these work on a chinese chef knife? I have been using a regular sharpener stone but it's a lot of work.

Stage 1 sharpens 15-degree angle Asian or modern Euro/American knives
